| The
Matfen is a 5 Star Mattress featuring a luxury
pocket spring unit with 1400 springs to provide
the ultimate in comfort for the discerning guest.
Layers of high quality fillings combined with
traditional tufting and vertically sewn handles,
all covered in a hard wearing 100% cotton stripe
cover.
A reinforced full wire edge and quilted border
are used to strengthen the areas of wear. This
mattress is tested in Palatine's own in-house
flame testing laboratory and conforms to BS7177
Ignition Source 1.5 for medium contract use.
The Matfen is ideal for use in all types of guest
houses and hotels, praised for it's longevity,
strength and comfort it makes the ideal commercial
choice offering excellent value for money. |

Also available is a choice of two divan bases to put
the Matfen on, a solid platform base called the Wallington
or Slaley Sprung base, both bases
complement the Matfen mattress perfectly.

A 35cm/14" Deep Platform Top
Base that is manufactured with and East/West split
(north/south on 180cm option) and linked by brass
plates. The timber construction uses only top
quality materials for strength and durability.
The base is upholstered in a practical and hard
wearing 100% Polyester blue suede effect fabric
that is pleasing to the eye.
The base is on 8 free running castors. Putting
the Matfen mattress on a Platform base will make
it feel slightly firmer.

This 39cm/15.5" Deep Sprung
Edge Base is split East/West (North/South on 180cm
option) and incorporates a high quality wooden
frame, topped by a 2.12mm/13.5 gauge spring unit
to provide additional comfort for the user. This
base is covered in a 100% Polyester suede effect
fabric that is durable, practical, and attractive
to the eye.
The base is supported on 8 easy glide castors
and is joined with brass linking bars. Putting
the Matfen mattress in this sprung base will give
a slightly more cushioned and softer feel
